In daily office work, meetings are created on Microsoft Teams for discussions, reviews, and client calls. There are mainly three simple ways to manage meetings on Teams.
This guide explains all three in a very basic way.
1. How to Start an Instant Meeting on Teams
Sometimes we need to start a meeting immediately without planning.
Steps:
Open Microsoft Teams
Go to Calendar
Click Meet Now

Add meeting name
Click Start Meeting

Invite people or share the link
This is used for quick discussions or urgent calls.
2. How to Schedule a Meeting on Teams
For planned meetings, we create a scheduled meeting.
Steps:
Open Microsoft Teams
Go to Calendar
Click New Meeting

Add:
Meeting title
Date and time
Participants
Meeting description (if needed)

Click Send
Now all participants receive the meeting invite.
3. If Meeting is Happening on Another Platform (Google Meet / Zoom etc.)
Sometimes the meeting is not on Teams but on another platform.
In this case, Teams is used only to send the invite.
Steps:
Create a New Meeting in Teams
In Location / Room, paste the actual meeting link

Send the invite
This helps participants understand:
Where meeting is happening
How to join
Conclusion
Teams can be used for:
Instant meetings
Scheduled meetings
Sending invites for meetings on other platforms
This makes meeting management simple and organized.
